World in motion – International issues in Family Law

Cheer on the Lionesses!

The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup is the eighth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship contested by the women’s national teams of the member associations of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) between 7 June and 7 July 2019. There are 24 teams participating across all continents.

This is representative of the legal environment in which individuals in the same family can now be from different countries and cultures. This can lead to disputes involving families who are living in different countries or who are not fully aware of the laws of the country in which they live. At Best we have individuals who specialise in family matters that involve an international element. We act for clients who are involved in international child abduction cases, from all different countries whether they are covered by international conventions or not.

We advise people who are involved in child protection proceedings with social services who may only be familiar with the laws of the country they have travelled from and not England’s child protection procedures.

At Best we offer a truly international service and are sensitive to the diverse cultures that surround the modern family and can present a legal challenge in the modern world.

We have a legal aid contract and we can discuss this, along with the particulars of your case, at a free 30 minute consultation with one of our specialist solicitors. We can offer help and support in your time of difficulty.

We are currently cheering on the England’s Women football team in France who are hoping to bring home the World Cup and end 53 years of hurt.

Next Game: Friday 14 Jun 2019 20:00 BST. FIFA Women’s World Cup Group D. England. vs. Argentina.
