What are Wills?

It is possible to make a Will if you are aged 18 years or over. As well as transferring or distributing property, a Will has many functions from naming a guardian for any children to keeping your tax liability to a minimum.

It is advised that a Will should be made if you have undergone any change in personal circumstances; changes such as marriage, buying your first home starting a family, or any other significant event that may have occurred in your life.

If you're not sure if we can cover your case, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us and we can discuss your specific needs.

How can we help?

There is often a lot to consider before writing a Will and it can be a difficult task to undertake. We are here to help you plan and write a Will in accordance with your wishes.

We provide a speedy service for the following:

  • New Will
  • Amendments to your existing Will
  • Obtaining Probate and Letters of Administration
  • Public Guardianship office work
  • Advice and assistance for the elderly
  • Disputes over Will
  • Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection
  • Free storage of your Will

We can also advise you if you have been named in a Will as a Trustee or if you are an Executor of a Will. If this is the case, our Wills and probate team can help to ensure that the distribution of the Estate is smooth and hassle-free.

What can I expect to happen?

Making a Will can take as little as two hours of your time. Our Wills and probate team will talk through your wishes and offer advice at an initial interview, your Will will then be drawn up and a draft copy will be sent to you. Once agreed you will be asked to come back into the office to sign your Will. You are then able to take your original Will away with you or we can store it free of charge.
