Thomas Cook – What to do now…..

Following the sad news that Thomas Cook have ceased trading leaving over 21,000 people out of work and in excess of 150,000 British citizens left abroad, we have put together a quick guide of what to do now if your holiday has been cancelled, or you are experiencing difficulties returning home from your holiday.

Please see below to find out who you should contact first:-

  • Contact the Civil Aviation Authority at 0333 1036700 for bookings made with Tour Operator (bonded by ATOL)
  • Contact ABTA (bonded by ABTA) for bookings made with a Travel Agent at 0203 1170599
  • Where there is no bonding cover contact your bank to consider any dispute rights or contact BEST Solicitors who may be able to help

Obviously we understand that not only is this a very stressful and upsetting time for holidaymakers, but we also understand that this is an awful time for all employees of Thomas Cook, some of whom will have worked for the company for many years.  Should you find yourself in difficulties or simply wish for further advice in relation to any employment issues you may have, please contact us on 0114 2813636.
