We are looking to recruit a Trainee Solicitor. The post will commence in November 2019 and last for the usual two year period.

BEST Solicitors was set up in April 2001. The aim was to provide access to justice for everyone and bring a personal and professional legal service to people of Sheffield.  The partners remain just as committed to these aims in 2019 and are pleased to head up a very dynamic and committed team. We are a multi-disciplinary practice with the opportunity for the successful candidate to be trained in at least three interesting areas of law.

We require the applicant to be hardworking, enthusiastic, a team player possessing great interpersonal skills, a good degree of patience and understanding and the ability to work well under pressure.

The main responsibilities of the Trainee Solicitor will be to work closely with one or more of the Senior Lawyers in the firm and assist with all aspect of that Lawyers work: you will not have you own case load. You will be expected to work in an organised and methodical manner with a position attitude. You will be encouraged to develop and maintain good client relations, gaining client’s confidence and that of other professionals. You are to work and behave in a professional manner and carry out duties faithfully, diligently and follow all reasonable instructions. You will be encouraged to participate in the growth and development of the firm.

The normal working hours of the firm are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Saturday 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Holiday entitlement is 22 days holiday plus all bank holidays and Tuesday at some of the bank holidays plus one week at Christmas.

Salary upon appointment will be no less than the Law Society recommended minimum.
