How can we help?
Whether you are at the police station or before the Magistrates’ or Crown Court, we can guarantee that you will be seen by, advised by and represented by an experienced solicitor throughout.
In addition to this we are able to offer experienced advice, representation and support for families in matters before the Coroner’s Court.
What can I expect to happen?
If you are arrested or attend the police station as a volunteer we can provide full advice and legal representation. This service is available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. Simply contact us beforehand, or ask the police to contact us on your behalf when you arrive at the police station. We are under a contractual obligation to attend at the police station to represent you within 45 minutes of being told that you are ready to be interviewed.
All our criminal solicitors are on the Duty Solicitor Scheme.
How much will it cost me?
Legal advice and representation at the police station is free of charge for everyone, regardless of the offence or your income.
Public funding, which used to be known as legal aid, is often available for cases before the Court. We can assist with making an application for your costs to be met under this scheme. If you do not meet the financial criteria, as assessed by the Court, we can represent you on a fixed fee basis, the details of which will be fully discussed with you prior to any work being undertaken.
