These are difficult times for employers and employees alike.

Businesses are being forced to go out of business leaving loss of employment.

The UK Government have enacted The Coronavirus Act 2020 which at last provides some clarity around issues people are facing in the workplace.   There is uncertainty regarding Furloughed Workers, Redundancy, Maternity Rights and Lay Off.  Furthermore, when people are being forced to isolate will they be entitled to SSP, Sickpay, or to utilise paid holiday.  All these factors are causing mass confusion.

This does not mean that everything must stop. Best Solicitors Employment team will be working to progress current matters, and are open to new instructions. All our efforts will be BEST placed, to make sure that we progress your case, during the period of restricted movement, and be ready to advise you  as soon as possible.

We are here for you – please get in touch if you have any queries.

We can confirm that our Sheffield and Barnsley offices are now open.  We are ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our staff and clients by offering an appointment only service.

Please do not attend without firstly making an appointment.

To help us manage this we will be keeping our office doors locked so we can ensure that there is only ever one client in our reception area at any given time.  We would also ask that you attend your appointment by yourself where possible to ensure we are limiting the number of people attending at the office.

If you are unsure of what to do, please telephone our offices on 0114 358 3134.

Please note our Free Wednesday Clinic is currently suspended until further notice.
