“I want to purchase a property but want this to complete prior to the Stamp Duty relief ending. Will this be possible?”

“As many will know, the current Stamp Duty relief is available until 31 March 2021 and provides that no Stamp Duty Land Tax is payable up to a purchase price of £500,000 on your primary residence.
A standard conveyancing transfer takes around 8 weeks to complete. However, leasehold properties can take longer as there are additional legal matters to consider.
In order to achieve your timescales we would suggest that you instruct us as soon as possible to ensure that we can work towards completion before the Stamp Duty relief ends.
