Kelly Briggs - Solicitor, Family Department

A Solicitor specialising in family law and a member of Resolution. Kelly undertakes all types of family work dealing with relationship breakdown, financial matters, Children Act applications, care & adoption and injunctions. Kelly has experience of dealing with cases in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Kelly first joined Best Solicitors in February 2004. She took a one year sabbatical to go travelling in September 2006 and returned to Best on 01 October 2007. During her year of travel she worked at a Solicitors office in Sydney, Australia.

Kelly graduated from Nottingham Law School in 1999, and studied for a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Sheffield graduating in 2000.

Qualified as a Solicitor in 2003.

Kelly is also involved with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

Wendy Alison Bailey- Solicitor, Family Department

Qualified in 1993.

Completed her training contract with a firm in Barnsley

Worked previously in Leeds and Rotherham

A Family Law specialist dealing with all aspects of Family Law, including divorce, children, ancillary relief, cohabitee disputes etc

Joined Best Solicitors in October 2006 as a Family Solicitor

An advanced member of the Law Society Family Law Panel

An Accredited Member of Resolution (previously the SFLA)

Sits on the Committee of the South Yorkshire branch of Resolution.

Graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2002

Jill Eddison - Legal Executive

An extremely experienced Legal Executive.

Worked as a Legal Executive in Sheffield for a number of years.

Has a wealth of knowledge & experience in property matters

Jonathon Holsgrove - Solicitor, Civil Litigation Department

Joined Best Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in 2005 and qualified in September 2007.

Jonathan graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Sheffield in 2004. He then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice also at the University of Sheffield in 2005.

Jonathan has a keen interest in Civil Law. He has dealt with cases in the areas of personal injury, contract law, bankruptcy and property. He has experience of dealing with cases in the County Court, High Court and Royal Courts of Justice and accepts instructions from individuals and businesses.

In September 2007 Jonathan was awarded Litigation status by the Association of Personal Injury (APIL). He is a member and Law Society Rep for Young Legal Aid Lawyers and has been a guest speaker at the University of Sheffield.

Jonathan is also involved with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Chamber International.
