Vanessa Jane Saxton

Vanessa was admitted as a solicitor in 1993 following post graduate level study of law and 5 years working in the University Law Departments of Birmingham and Sheffield.

From qualification as a solicitor she has specialized in both Criminal and Mental Health law.

Vanessa is a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme. She is a member of the Law Society Mental Health Review Panel.

Vanessa has had conduct of serious criminal cases before the Magistrates and Crown Court She qualified as a solicitor advocate who has Higher Rights of Audience in Criminal law.

In mental health law she specializes in representation before the Mental Health Tribunal (First Tier) and Upper Tribunal. She has represented detained patients, nearest relatives and Trusts. She is a member of the Mental Health Lawyers Association.
