Vanessa Saxton BA (Hons) MA

The Mental Health department is led by Vanessa Saxton. She is recognised as a specialist in this area and is a member of the Law Society Mental Health Lawyers Panel. She has been conducting representation on behalf of clients for 13 years.

Vanessa can provide representation for people detained in hospital under the Mental Health Act and also for their relatives who seek to challenge the patients detention. She provides representation at both Metal Health Review Tribunals and Hospital Managers Hearings.

She is also able to conduct litigation on behalf of the Official Solicitor. She is the only solicitor with offices based in the Sheffield area providing this type of legal help and advice.

Vanessa seeks to provide a competent and sympathetic service to clients who are often disadvantaged by their mental health difficulties.
