The Mental Health Law Department is led by Vanessa Saxton. She is recognised as a specialist in this area and is a member of the Law Society Mental Health Lawyers Panel. Vanessa has been conducting representation on behalf of clients for over 16 years.
Vanessa can provide representation for people detained in hospital under the Mental Health Act and also for their relatives who seek to challenge the patient’s detention. She provides representation at both Mental Health Review Tribunals and Hospital Managers' hearings.
